Thank you to all the participants and visitors to this year’s Photo Contest. We had a wonderful variety of photos this year.
Our 6th Annual Old Home Week Photo Contest was the first year we held it as a digital only show. Results of judging and voting are as follows:
- 1st prize: Sepp Meier for “Winter Chore”
- 2nd prize: Hope Hutchinson for “August Sunset”
- 3rd prize: Sepp Meier for “Morning Milking”
- Honorable Mentions: Garrett Boyd for “Sunset in the Cloud Kingdom”; Edie Simpson for “Loon Wings”; Sepp Meier for “Madison Dog Days”
- People’s Choice Award: Hope Hutchinson for “August Sunset”
How Photo Contest works:
- People’s Choice Award was determined by votes made by visitors to the Madison Library during Old Home Week 2013.
- North Country Camera Club members Dave Holt of Effingham, Kathy Carr of Cornish, Maine, and Muriel Stoddard of Freedom, NH were judges who chose 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and honorable mention awards.
- Awards were announced at 10 am on Saturday, August 10, 2013.
- Thank you to North Country Camera Club for sponsoring 1st prize, a one year membership.
- Thank you to Madison Old Home Week Committee for donating People’s Choice prize, 2 Bean Hole Supper tickets.
- Madison Library sponsored 2nd and 3rd place prizes, gift certificates for digital photo printing.
