BigReadNH Madison Library’s Big Read NH events take place this week and next. If you haven’t picked up a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird, there are several available at the the library. But whether you read the book this month, or you read it years ago, or haven’t read it yet, everyone is welcome at [...] With very little snow this winter, snowman makers have had to get creative. This week, we had a vacation storytime featuring silly snowmen stories and this snowman craft, made out of a sock filled with rice. About a dozen children stopped by the library on October 31st. Treats were handed out by Mary, Leonora, Sloane, and Dorothy, so those who stopped were treated well. See more photos on the library’s flickr page. Last week’s program, “Life in the Freezer: a Trip to Antarctica” was videorecorded, and will be broadcast tonight on Madison TV after the Selectmen’s meeting, at about 7:10 pm. The Friends of Madison Library hosted this well-attended program on May 29th. Hersh Sosnoff, a Madison resident, presented a slideshow of his recent trip to Antarctica [...] It’s that time of year again. With summer reading programs starting up at the end of the month, we’re busy gathering prizes for participants.
