Join us on Thursday, May 16 at 7 pm in the Chick Room as Victoria Lang, director of the Holderness Library, gives a slide presentation on The Botswna Library Project. Lang visited Botswana in March of 2012, as part of a librarian exchange program with the Botswana Library Project foundation.
Here in America, we often take for granted that there are places like the public library, places where we can go to use computers, read, gather information and learn. This is often not the case in countries like Botswana. Robert and Sara Rothschild, seeing a need, established a family foundation that, in collaboration with the Botswana government, is building libraries in villages throughout that country.
