Tech talks are one hour presentations on various technology topics, held on Tuesdays at 2 pm. Coming up:

February 8: Genealogy information available from the library and online. Ancestry and HeritageQuest and other online resources will be covered.

February 15: Reading magazines with Ebsco. Ebsco is an online collection of databases offered by NH libraries, thanks to the NH State Library. What that means is that you can search, find, and read articles on all kinds of topics from popular magazines to academic journals. Come learn how to use Ebsco like a pro, and how to find and read your favorite magazine online for free. For those who do their research on the go, Ebsco has a mobile interface, too.

March 1: Using the NH Downloadable Books, an overview. MP3, WMA, ePUB, oh my! Come sort out what formats work on what type of device and how to search, select, and download titles. Audiobooks (books you listen to) and eBooks (books you read) will both be covered. Participants will take home tutorials specific to their needs and also be able to schedule follow-up one-on-one training.
