We will welcome Betsy Gemmecke of Granite State College as she presents a “Where do you want to go?” career workshop on Tuesday, January 25 at 2 pm in the library’s Chick Room meeting room. This workshop is for people interested in exploring new careers or moving forward with a present career. The workshop will cover ways to assess current skills, places to learn new skills, and how to present yourself to prospective employers. Topics to be discussed include resumes, job applications, educational resources, and opportunities for advanced education and job training.
This workshop is free and open to the public. At the end of the program there will be a preview of “Career Cruising,” the Madison Library’s new online resource for job-seekers. (See link at left, call the library for username and password to try it out.)
