Attention photographers! “Wild Life” is the theme for the Madison Library’s 4th annual Old Home Week Photo Contest and Show. The show will be open August 8 through 13 in the library’s Chick Room.
Once again, judges from the North Country Camera Club will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. A People’s Choice Award will be awarded based on votes by visitors to the show. The winner of People’s Choice Award will have his or her winning photo featured on the cover of next year’s Madison Town Report.
Entry form is available at the library or it can be downloaded and printed here. Bring your photo(s) to the library by 6 pm on August 5th. Awards will be given out at 1 pm on Sunday, August 14.
A couple of tips for photographers from judges from past shows: photos show best if they are at least 8 x 10 inches, and photos with mats alone show better than photos framed under glass.
