The Friends of Madison Library (FOML) are a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit group of community members interested in helping the library. The FOML support the library by planning, funding, and hosting programs, by supplementing the library book budget, and helping to fund technology upgrades and equipment and furnishings.
The Friends fund their activities through memberships, donations, and fundraisers, including a monthly (May through October) book sale.
In July 2014, the Friends held a special project fundraiser, Madison Barns, a tour of 100 year old barns in Madison, NH. In 2015, they sponsored a weekend filled with wonderful events celebrating E. E. Cummings at Silver Lake.
Programs provided by the FOML have included children’s performers for Summer Reading Programs, New Hampshire Humanities Council programs, and book and author luncheons.
All are welcome to join the Friends of Madison Library. Annual dues are $5 for an individual, $10 for a family. Download a membership application (pdf).
