The Friends of Madison Library invite you to “New Hampshire’s Grange Movement: Its Rise, Triumphs and Decline,” on Tuesday, October 21 at 7 pm in the library’s John F. Chick Meeting Room.
NH Humanities Council speaker Steve Taylor will present an illustrated talk explaining the rise of the Grange movement in late 19th century New Hampshire, some of the major social and political changes that it helped to usher in, and what caused the Grange to lose influence in the 20th century.
This event is free, and refreshments will be served following the presentation.
