We are excited to offer a new program this summer along with other area libraries and White Birch Books: a tween-adult book club paired with a chance to meet the author. The book we’ll read is The Summer Experiment by Cathie Pelletier.
We’re even more excited that the Friends of Madison Library will purchase a copy of the book (to keep!) for each Madison child who wants to participate. Call or stop in the library by June 30 to request a copy of the book for your child.
The tween-adult book club will meet at the Madison Library on Thursday, July 31 at 5 pm. We’ll have pizza and talk about the book. Let us know if you’re planning to come so we order enough pizza.
There will be an author talk and book signing with Cathie Pelletier at the Conway Public Library on Thursday, August 7 at 3:30 pm. Bring your copy of the book and get it signed by the author!
The Summer Experiment is recommended for kids ages 9 to 12, and adults will find it entertaining, too. White Birch Books is sponsoring the author visit, be sure to thank them next time you’re there!
How to participate:
- June 30: Deadline to request a copy of the book (to keep, thanks to the Friends of Madison Library)
- July 7: Books can be picked up at the library
- July 31: Join us at 5 pm at the Madison Library for a tween-adult book club and pizza
- August 7: Meet the author at the Conway Public Library at 3:30 pm!
