Library of Congress image2014 marks the hundredth anniversary of the beginning of the “War to End All Wars.” On Thursday, June 5 at 7 pm, Fay Melendy will discuss how the events of one hundred years ago have affected the world, beginning with the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand in June 1914 by a Serbian nationalist, which precipitated the outbreak of war in August 1914. This event will take place in the John F. Chick Meeting Room.
