We join the whole Madison community in mourning the death of Roger Clayton. As most of you know, Roger was a wonderful storyteller and was our best resource for finding answers to questions about Madison’s history. We will miss his good humor and willingness to help out.
Over the past several years, Roger and his wife, Olive, provided the Madison Library with a set of historical scrapbooks with photos (past and present) and articles related to Madison History. These are available to use at the library, ask at the desk for help finding them.
Roger also made sure we had a full set of Madison High School yearbooks and Town Reports, and lent some original historical photographs so we could scan them for our Local History Project’s digital archive.
