Library events for Old Home Week:

Book Sale: Going on now, and really busy! Friends of Madison Library will wrap the sale at 1 pm on Saturday, August 4.
Photo Show and Contest: A smaller show than past years’, but really great photos. Please come vote for your favorite. Open Monday-Saturday during library hours. Prizes awarded Saturday, August 11 at 1 pm.
Story and craft program for kids 4 and up: Dream stories and make a dreamcatcher to take home. Wednesday at 4 pm.
Stories Behind the Stars: Storyteller and educator Matt Krug, Wednesday at 6 pm. Come here before heading to Burke Field for your snack shack supper, cruise night and skywatch.
All About Busy Beavers: Thursday at 1 pm, Jean Heilprin Diehl will introduce her new book Three Little Beavers, then Bethani from Elaine Conners Wildlife Ceter will give a talk about beavers, then, all who attend are invited for a train ride on Silver Lake Railroad to see the beaver ponds that inspired the story.
The Pond: A History of Big Pea Porridge Pond in Madison, NH, Ice Age to 1951: Saturday at 2 pm. Local authors Connie Brown, Brian Fowler, and Lee Pollock will talk about their new book, and sign and sell copies.
