Madison Library is now offering entertaining and thought-provoking films for free through Kanopy! Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries and kid favorites all from your desktop, TV or mobile device. All you need is a Madison Library card to set up an account.
Create an account:
- Click on https://madisonlibnh.kanopy.com/
- Click “add library card”
- Enter all 14 digits of your library card number (no spaces)
- Enter your name, your email address, choose a password that you will remember, and click “sign up”
You’ve done it!
How do tickets work?
Tickets are used to play videos on Kanopy. You receive 9 tickets per month. Your tickets reset on the first day of the month, and unused tickets don’t roll over to the next month.
Note: Kanopy Kids doesn’t use tickets which means you can access an unlimited number of Kanopy Kids titles each month.
As you browse for titles, you’ll see the number of tickets required to watch each title and how long you have to watch it.
You can see your remaining tickets for the month in the top-right corner of the homepage.

Kanopy Kids is a collection of programming curated to support early literacy, STEM education, and even foreign language learning.
