How our 2024 program works:

June 17 – August 9

 Madison Library’s Summer Reading Programs are planned to encourage reading for fun. We offer programs for all ages, from 3 to 103, because reading is an activity that can be enjoyed for a lifetime!

For kids 3 to 5:

(Parents of 5-year-olds, choose the best program for your child, this one or the following.)

  • Pick up an Early Literacy Road Trip reading log.
  • Bring the sheet to the library whenever you have completed an item or items along the road trip and select a goodie from our Prize Box.

For kids 5 to 12:

(12 year olds, choose the program that fits you best, this one or the teen program)

  • Pick up a Kids Road Trip reading log.
  • Bring the sheet to the library whenever you have completed an item or items along the road trip and select a goodie from our Prize Box or receive a ticket to place in the jar of the prize you’d like to win.

For teens age 12 – 17 AND for adults 18+

  • Pick up a Road Trip reading log.
  • Bring the sheet to the library whenever you have completed an item or items along the road trip and receive a ticket to place in the jar of the prize you’d like to win.

To be eligible for prizes, Road Trip reading logs must be submitted no later than August 10. Prizes will be announced on August 14.
