Madison Trebuchet Challenge II: A 2-part maker project and competition, Summer 2014

Part 1: Tuesday, July 15, 2014, 6:30 pm
At Madison Library, start in John F. Chick Meeting Room, then head outside. Claes Thelemarck of 4-H Youth and Family/Carroll County UNH Cooperative Extension will lead a hands-on workshop to construct a working trebuchet out of common building materials. Take home a sheet with Madison Trebuchet Challenge rules and a list of resources to help you build your own trebuchet.

Part 2, COMPETITION: Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 3 pm, Burke Field
Meet at Burke Field with your team and your completed trebuchet for an organized contest. Prizes will be awarded for furthest launch (of standard baseballs) and most beautiful trebuchet. We’ll finish by launching water balloons for fun. Spectators welcome!
