This past year has seen the publication of several acclaimed and award-winning books related to Black history. Here is a list of some of the ones available at the Madison Library, all recommended: Extraordinary, Ordinary People: A Memoir of Family by Condoleezza Rice (BIO Ric) Today is the start of Banned Books Week, an annual event organized by the American Library Association to draw attention to challenges made to libraries in an effort to remove titles from library shelves.
