Programs: The Madison Library and Friends of Madison Library plan and present numerous informational, cultural, literary, and recreational programs for all ages throughout the year. Please see our Events page for descriptions and schedule.
Reference: Madison Library staff welcomes reference questions of all types. Stop in, call, or email and let us know what information you seek.
Interlibrary Loan: If we do not have an item you are seeking, most times we can borrow it from another library. Contact library staff to make a request or use our online request form.
Copying: Our copier makes black and white copies. The charges for copies are: 8.5 x 11 letter size – 15 cents per page; 8.5 x 14 legal size – 20 cents per page; 11 x 17 ledger size – 25 cents per page. Our printer can make 8.5 x 11 color copies – 50 cents per page.
Faxing: Our fax number is 603-367-4479. If you will be receiving a fax at the library, please call and let us know ahead of time, if possible. Cost for faxing is 1.00 per fax to send or receive. If faxing very long distance (i.e. overseas), cost will be higher.
Scanning: Scanning (up to 8.5 x 14) is 1.00. Scans can be sent to an email or saved to your flashdrive.
Public Computers: The library has three desktop PCs for public use in the main room. There are also 3 laptop computers that can be checked out for in-library use by registered members. All public computers have internet access and office programs Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Printing is available from the library’s desktop computers. The charge for printing is 15 cents per sheet for black ink only, 50 cents per sheet for color.
Wifi, Wireless Internet Access: We have wireless internet connection available for anyone with a properly equipped internet-ready device. Depending on your device, wifi can be accessed from outside the building when the library is closed. Password is madlibguest.
Homebound Delivery: Volunteers will deliver library materials to residents who are not able to come to the library. Please contact library staff to request this service or download an application and mail it to us. If you would like to volunteer to make deliveries, please contact us, too.
Notary Services: The Madison Library provides notary services. This service is free for Madison/Silver Lake residents or $5.00 for non-residents. Calling ahead or scheduling an appointment is strongly encouraged to ensure that the notary is available and on site when you visit.
Please note that if you need witnesses in addition to the notary, you must provide them yourself. Asking other library patrons to serve as witnesses is not permitted. All parties must present valid photo identification.
