• The Kite Runner, based on the book by Khaled Hosseini
• Juno, best picture Oscar contender (along with Sweeney Todd, see above)
• Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, Sidney Lumet directs crime thriller
• In the Shadow of the Moon, Ron Howard documentary on NASA astronauts who set foot on the Moon.
