As part of our Summer Reading Program for kids, we’re hosting the Brothers Plad, authors of The Brothers Plad: The Mystery Trout. Watermelon Tourmaline and Hignus Harkaway (a.k.a. “The Brothers Plad” Sean and Matt Plasse) will hold an action-packed Plad party adventure here in Madison on July 25.

To find out more about the book, the authors, and their quest to write books that they, as dyslexic readers, would have enjoyed reading as kids, see http://thebrothersplad.com. To find out why “plad” is spelled the way it is, read this interview.

So that everyone will have a chance to read the book before the Brothers’ Plad visit, we’d like to know how many copies of the book we will need to have for people to borrow. We’re also giving you the option to order your own copy of the book at the library discount. If you order your own copy, the authors will be happy to sign it for you on July 25.

We’ll be lending copies and handing out ordered copies on June 20, at our Plad Summer Reading Kickoff event at 2 pm here at the library.

If you’d like to reserve a library copy to borrow, or buy your own copy, please let us know by Tuesday, June 5. Fill out this order/reserve form and drop it at the library or contact us by phone or email with the information requested on the form.

See you at our Summer Reading kickoff party on June 20 at 2 pm! Wear Plad!

It’s going to be a Plad summer!
