There’s been a lot of buzz in the book world about Suite Française by Irene Nerimovsky, a recently found novel written by this French author during the Nazi occupation. Nemirovsky died in Auschwitz, and this novel’s discovery and publication is as much of the story as the novel itself. The Literary Saloon weblog, always a champion of fiction in translation, has several interesting posts about the work and its publication. Suite Française is available at the Madison Library.
