Social networking and the internet

Blogs like this one and other social networking software, especially the controversial MySpace, have now come under legislative scrutiny and action. Join us here at the library on June 22nd at 7 pm for a discussion on internet-based social software like MySpace, Flickr, blogs, wikis, and even IM. If you have a story to share about how you use these tools to organize your online presence and stay in touch with friends, keep up with what’s happening in the news or in your line of work/study, please let me know and consider joining the discussion. We will also discuss the concerns about privacy and online predators associated with these tools.
