Added to the collection recently are two reference books, Webster’s 3rd New International Dictionary, Unabridged, a much needed replacement for our old unabridged dictionary, and the newly published Encyclopedia of New England, edited by two UNH professors, which is a good look-it-up book and even better browsing-through book. Come and take a look at both. For adult readers, The Beatles, a biography by Bob Spitz included in the NY Times’ list of 100 notable books of 2005 and said to have a lot of new information; “gothic page-turner” (according to Publisher’s Weekly) The Sisters Mortland by Sally Beauman; and Tea House on Mulberry Street by Sharon Owens, recommended for fans of Maeve Binchy. For children, we’ve added Boy Were We Wrong About Dinosaurs by Kathleen Kudlinski; picture biography Dickens, His Work and His World by Michael Rosen; and three picture books: Cold Paws Warm Heart by Madeleine Floyd; Lights Out by Arthur Geisert; and Mrs. McBloom, Clean Up Your Classroom by Kelly DiPucchio.
