The Madison Library will host a two-part “Every Hero Has a Story: Summer Reading Program event on Wednesday, July 15. The first part is a one hour fun filled performance, at 1 pm at the James Noyes Multipurpose Room at Madison Elementary School. Keith Munslow will present an interactive show with a unique mix of funny, original songs, and stories, tongue-twisting poems, oddball characters and on-the-spot cartoon drawing. Keith’s rhythmic piano, skillful drawing and quick wit combine for an upbeat, positive experience.
The second part will the place the same day, July 15 at 2:30 pm at the Madison Library. Keith Munslow will lead an illustration workshop, focusing on originality, not simply drawing ability. This workshop will help kids tap into their creativity and problem-solving skills. This workshop is for children ages 5 to 12 years old, and preregistration is required as there is limited space. These two events are funded by a Kids, Books and the Arts grant, provided by the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation, CHILIS, Cogswell Benevolent Trust, and is supported in part by a grant from the NH State Council on the Arts & the National Endowment for the Arts as well as funds administered by the NH State Library and provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
