The Madison Library will host a presentation by local resident Tom Reinfuss, a volunteer with Seafarer’s Friend, on Thursday, March 27 at 7 pm. Tom will explain how a charitable organization founded as The Boston Seaman’s Friend Society in 1827 continues to serve seafarers in New England in 2014. Seafarer’s Friend volunteers meet ships in Boston, Portsmouth, and Portland to provide hospitality and chaplain services to seafarers.
This presentation will take place in the John F. Chick Room at the Madison Library and is free and open to the public.
