We don’t often go out on a limb and recommend books because tastes vary so much, but a few books around the library have had some great reviews from local readers:

  • Donor by Frank M. Robinson, good medical thriller in a Michael Palmer way, not as medical as Robin Cook
  • Rhett Butler’s People by Donald McCaig, better GWTW sequel than Scarlett
  • An Arsonist’s Guide to Writer’s Homes in New England by Brock Clarke, funny and sad at the same time, keen observations of family relationships

And three thumbs down (so far), despite great published reviews

  • Capote in Kansas, by Kim Powers
recommended (and not) reads
