2007 Banned Books Week: Ahoy! Treasure Your Freedom to Read and Get Hooked on a Banned Book

It’s Banned Book Week, an annual event that points out challenges to books that have happened in the past year. The American Library Association upholds the “freedom to read” in its Bill of Rights which the Madison Library Trustees adopted for the Madison Library in 1998. Stop by the library and see a display of last year’s most challenged books and some of the books that have been challenged over time. Google has very nicely compiled an informational page about some of the books.
