I am sad to report the passing of Jack Alexander, who was a Library Trustee for the past several years. Jack was the impetus and organizer of the library’s art shows, giving local artists a place to show their work. Jack loved the idea that he rarely had to go beyond Madison’s borders to find the next month’s artist. Jack will be missed for, among many things, his sense of humor, love of life, and upbeat personality. The library will open late on Friday, November 3rd, so that staff may attend the service at 2pm.
