The internet has changed information exchange, no doubt, allowing individuals a means for expressing opinions that other media tend to dismiss. Legislation enacted in the summer of 2005 removed the rule of net neutrality. What does this mean? A fairly well-balanced (but sided in favor of reverting back to net neutrality rules) presentation explaining this was aired on Moyers on America last night. Two bills are currently in Congress to preserve net neutrality, the Senate’s Internet Freedom Preservation Act and the House’s Network Neutrality Act of 2006.
