Here’s some short-term volunteer opportunities. Call the library ASAP (367-8545) and speak with Mary or Leonora if you can help in any way. We will be eternally grateful.
We need help with the chili cook-off on August 10th: setting up, serving, taking down, and also people to make cookies or brownies to be sold for dessert at the event.
We also need help with the Shaw Brothers concert on August 25th. Before the concert: help setting up the stage, getting electric ready for the sound and light guys, and other details that are sure to come up. Someone with a pickup truck would be most welcome as we have to move the stage (which is in 4 x 8 sections) from the school to Burke Field. Just prior to the concert: mannning gates at the field, giving parking directions. After the concert: breakdown stage and move it back to the school, clean up field.
