James Frey’s rehab memoir A Million Little Pieces, which was selected by Oprah for her most recent book club selection, has been the subject of a lot of media scrutiny this week for being, in part, made up. The controversy has snowballed so much that Frey was interviewed by Larry King last night and Random House is offering refunds for people who bought the book directly from them. (If you bought it at a bookstore, you can try, but may not be eligible, for a refund.) The Madison Library has two copies, which we did not buy, but received because we are a member of the ALA. Come check it out and see what all the fuss is about.
