. . . but there was a really interesting interview on NPR’s Here and Now today with Sive Vaidhyanathan, a copyright expert and author of books on the current state of copyright law. He believes that Google shouldn’t be the ones creating a digital record of books, but that reference librarians should. He argues that reference librarians have the skills to create a record that will be searchable and accessible to researchers in the future.
