New books, early April

Look for: The Breakdown Lane by Jacqueline Mitchard (who wrote The Deep End of the Ocean); Saturday by Ian McEwan (a shoe-in for book discussion groups by the author of Atonement); Shane Comes Home byRinker Buck which tells the story of the first soldier killed in Iraq as it examines his reasons for choosing a military life and the reaction of his family, fellow soldiers, and community to his death; Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith by Anne Lamott, an engaging read which manages to be reverent and irreverent at the same time.
