The Madison Library’s Summer Reading Programs have wrapped up for another year. Fifty-two people, from age 3 to adult, signed up, and twenty-eight completed the program. Adults and teens read 76 books, and the children read over 15,000 minutes during the program. Each week there was a science-themed event for school-aged children plus a preschool story time, and a total of 166 people attended these programs. A number of generous local businesses contributed prizes or provided programs, see the full list here. All in all, participants enjoyed a summer of reading for fun and learning new things.
