The Friends of Madison Library will hold their annual Book and Author Luncheon on Saturday, August 18 at 12:30 pm. This year’s featured author is Edie Clark, past editor and current writer for Yankee Magazine. Clark is known as a writer who tells of ordinary lives changed by one extraordinary act or circumstance. Clark’s books include States of Grace: Encounters with Real Yankees and Saturday Beans and Sunday Suppers: Kitchen Stories from Mary’s Farm. Clark lives on Mary’s Farm in the Monadnock region of New Hampshire, where she collects and writes her stories.
Before Clark’s talk, the Friends of Madison Library will serve a homemade luncheon, including a selection of summer salads, rolls, desserts, and beverages. Tickets for this event are $10 and can be purchased at the Madison Library.
