The Madison Library has received a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council to present a “What Is New Hampshire Reading?” book discussion series this summer on the theme “Humor Here and There.”
Frumie Selchen, executive director of the Arts Alliance of Northern NH, will lead the first discussion on P. G. Wodehouse’s Pigs Have Wings at 7 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Books can be borrowed now; pick one up and plan to join us.
The series will continue on July 26 at 7 pm, with a discussion of The Ponder Heart by Eudora Welty, led by Clia Goodwin. Then on August 23, the series will wrap up with Elizabethada Wright leading a discussion of Garrison Keillor’s Lake Woebegone Days.
