POSTPONED! Due to expected bad weather, this event, originally planned for February 1, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 8.
The Friends of Madison Library will sponsor a New Hampshire Humanities Council program, “Cows and Communities: How the Lowly Bovine Has Nurtured New Hampshire Through Four Centuries” on Tuesday, February 8 at 7 pm in the Chick Room at the Madison Library. Independent scholar, farmer, journalist, and longtime public official Steve Taylor of Meriden Village, NH will present this program.
Taylor will discuss how cattle were essential to the survival of the earliest New Hampshire settlements, and how cows have been central to the life and culture of the state ever since.
All are welcome to attend the program, and the Friends of Madison Library will serve homemade refreshments following the program.
