“Adventure Travel” often recalls images of exotic locations like Machu Picchu, but opportunities for exciting trips closer to home are available. Local adventurers Ron Force, Al Risch, and Bob Smith will describe such a trip at a slide and video presentation, “A 24-Hour Winter Adventure Atop Mt. Washington,” on Tuesday, October 19 at 7 pm in the Chick Room at the Madison Library. Force, Risch, and Smith will use pictures and stories to describe their overnight visit to the summit of Mount Washington as participants in one the Mount Washington Observatory’s Winter EduTrips in March 2010.
The Friends of Madison Library are sponsoring this program, which is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served following the presentation.
