Local history and art

Madison Historical Society member Roy Bubb recently donated a copy of his book on 19th century White Mountain painter and Madison native Charles A. Hunt, Visions from a White Mountain Palette: The Life and Times of Charles A. Hunt. A mix of biography, local and New Hampshire history, and art history, this book’s color plates beautifully illustrate the text. We have one copy for folks to check out and one for our local history collection, which will remain in the library. And, if you decide after reading the book and enjoying the reproductions of the paintings that you want your own copy, they are available from the Madison Historical Society.
