Rotary grant gratefully accepted

The Ossipee Valley Rotary Club has disbanded, and as a final community service endeavor, the remaining six members distributed the funds they had left to local service organizations. The dinner and ceremony at Sammy’s in Tamworth was bittersweet as members and friends of the Club reminisced about past projects and took a look with pride at the impact that their fundraising has had over their 81 year history. The Madison Library, along with 5 other local libraries, plus many organizations including the Ossipee Main Street Project, the Green Mountain Conservation Group, Tamworth Caregivers, and local food pantries, received grants from the Rotary. The Madison Library’s grant is for children’s literacy development projects. A classy goodbye to a classy group of people, for sure.
