We’ve had quite a run on our new books lately, especially the thrillers, mysteries, and general fiction. In an attempt to lure some fiction readers to nonfiction, here’s a “best books” list of recent science and technology titles written for the general reader, many written by “novelists, historians, and other non-scientists.” The titles at the Madison Library:
- Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver
- Rocketeers by Michael Belfiore
- Einstein by Walter Isaacson
- Power to Save the World by Gwyneth Cravens
- The World Without Us by Alan Weisman
- The Last Human by G.J. Sawyer, et al.
- Evolution for Everyone by David Wilson Sloane
- How Doctors Think by Jerome Groopman
- The Wild Trees by Richard Preston (audio)
Any of the other titles on the list can be requested from other libraries, just let us know.
How ’bout some nonfiction?
