The Coen Brothers, who are up for an Oscar later this month for their adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s No Country for Old Men, have chosen Michael Chabon’s TheYiddish Policemen’s Union for their next movie. We’ve got both books at the library; both are excellent, if challenging, reads. And if the Coens’ No Country for Old Men is any indication, Yiddish Policemen’s Union should be a whopper of a movie.
