things are picking up

It’s Memorial Day weekend, and Madison is a very busy place. Just this morning, I passed 5 yard sales, a sign for tonight’s church supper, some antique train engines on display at the Silver Lake train station, and a man from the VFW selling poppies at the post office. Remember Monday’s parade at 9am, which starts at the Madison Church and proceeds down East Madison Road to the Gilman Cemetery. The Old Home Week committee is hosting a community breakfast after the parade at the fire station. Look for our summer newsletter next week, which will list library activities and programs for June, July, and August. I’ve had to redesign it for a legal-size sheet since there is so much going on!
