Tower Quest

One of the books we have on display this month is a guide to New Hampshire Fire Towers, places that can be good hiking destinations. NH’s DREC Division of Forests and Lands is trying to increase interest in the towers and the fire lookout program, and has issued a challenge (with a prize!) called Tower Quest. Visit 5 of the 15 fire towers (the closest ones are at Green Mountain in Effingham and Red Hill in Moultonborough), fill out and mail the form (p.1, p.2), and get a patch, certificate, and letter of recognition.
