The library’s Chick Room has exhibit space for hanging artwork, and month-long art shows featuring local artists are planned throughout the year. Artists interested in exhibiting at the library can pick up a list of guidelines at the library.
November 2009’s Exhibit: John Di Marzo of Silver Lake, New Hampshire
Born in Rhode Island, John Di Marzo, along with his wife Mary, became a full time resident of New Hampshire fourteen years ago, first in North Conway, and for the past two years in Silver Lake. John’s favorite medium is pastels. He has taken numerous courses at the Rhode Island School of Design. In North Conway, John has studied with Chuck Selmi, a well-respected local artist. While in Rhode Island, John studied under Ralph Pace, whose artwork is well known in that state. John has exhibited his art work in numerous places including Four Corners Art Show, Tiverton, R.I., the Portland Summer Art Show, Art in the Park, North Conway, and in many galleries in Rhode Island, Maine, and New Hampshire.
