The Madison Library’s local history collection includes Vital Statistics, Town and School Reports, Madison High School Yearbooks, books and pamphlets about Madison history. Most items must be used at the library.

We are developing an online archive for Madison History, the Madison Library Local History Project.

We welcome genealogy and local history reference questions. Please allow us time to research your question, most of our records are not digitized.

For online researchers: The Madison Library offers access to many research databases, including HeritageQuest genealogy database, which can be used remotely via passworded online access, and Ancestry Library, which is for in-library use only. Contact us for password for HeritageQuest.
